AIRWORDS / FOR GROWN-UPS

A first session
with AirWords.

A practical guide for parents, teachers and adult testers helping children ages 6–12 explore English, maths, science and nature on Android.

AirWords is in testing, with no public download available yet. Request access through Elaichix support rather than an unofficial download site.

1. Choose something together

Start with a topic the learner wants to explore: picture-and-word activities, numbers and fractions, a virtual science experiment, or animals and habitats. AirWords is an enrichment activity with adult guidance; it is not a curriculum certification, assessment or guarantee of learning outcomes.

2. Begin with touch controls

Use the on-screen controls for the first activity. Camera access is optional, and declining it does not prevent touch play. Keep the device in a comfortable position and let the learner set the pace.

3. Try hand controls only if they help

If you choose hand controls, Android will ask for camera permission. Use good lighting and keep the hand clearly in view. If tracking feels tiring or unreliable, return to touch. Camera frames are processed locally; AirWords does not upload or save them as video. You can revoke permission in Android Settings.

4. Talk about the discovery

Ask what the learner expects, what changed and what they noticed. For an example session, use our guide to virtual science experiments. It explains the magnet, shadow, floating-object and coloured-light activities and the limits of their models.

5. Understand where progress lives

No online account is required. Android learning progress stays on the device. Use a nickname rather than a child’s full name. Elaichix cannot retrieve deleted device progress from a cloud copy; any exports you make are files you control.

How do I remove local progress?

Open Android Settings → Apps → AirWords → Storage → Clear storage. This removes local players, progress and preferences and cannot be undone through Elaichix. Delete any separately exported or shared files wherever those copies are stored.

Do I need diagnostic or study recording?

No. Diagnostic recording is optional, and the separate hand-control study needs its own acknowledgement. Leave them off for ordinary play unless you are deliberately taking part in explained, supervised testing. Read the privacy policy before enabling them.

Send useful feedback without private details

Adults can tell support the phone model, Android version, app version and what happened. Do not include a child’s name, camera footage, hand recordings, passwords or other sensitive information. If an activity is confusing, describe the screen and the step that caused difficulty.

Ready to ask about testing?

Access depends on the current test’s availability. Support will explain the next steps; an enquiry is not automatic enrolment.
